As of today, January 12, 2015, Pat Quinn
is no longer the Governor of Illinois. He has been taken over by Bruce Rauner,
a Republican.

We, the
comrades of Unit 1012: The Victims’ Families For The Death Penalty, wanted this
day to come and we feel that this is some sort of consolation, as we were
totally dissatisfied with Quinn abolishing the death penalty on March 9, 2011.
We hope that the family members of Shannon McNamara, Jeanine Nicarico, Nurse Donna Schnorr, Jitka Vesel and Kelli O’Laughlin were be satisfied that Quinn
is no longer the Governor of Illinois.
Thanks to
abolishing the death penalty, homicide rate had risen since 2012 in that state.
There are even cases of prison homicides where now all killers are left
unpunished. All thanks to Governor Pat Quinn who caused all the chaos in the
state. He should have made a public apology to the victims’ families just like
Martin Niemoller and Comrade Duch who were truly remorseful for their
wrongdoings.
Anyway,
goodbye Pat Quinn, we hope the Illinois will be a better place without you as
governor. You were voted out as governor and you deserve your fate.
As Edmund
Burke said:
When the leaders choose to make themselves bidders at an auction of popularity, their talents, in the construction of the state, will be of no service. They will become flatterers instead of legislators; the instruments, not the guides, of the people.[Reflections on the Revolution in France (1790)]
