Erich Maria Remarque
|
For death is not an adventure to those who stand face to face with it.[All Quiet on the Western Front]
AUTHOR: Erich Maria Remarque (born Erich
Paul Remark; 22 June 1898 – 25 September 1970) was a German author, most
known for his novel: All Quiet on the
Western Front.
APPLICATION: This quote was taken from his
novel, All Quiet on the Western Front. This quote means that when life and
death passes around the corner, be it war, terminally-ill patients or someone
on death row, it is very scary and not fun at all. Some people say that the
death penalty is the easy way out for killers but death is really more
frightening than life when you have to face it.
