We, the
comrades of Unit 1012, wish Tracie Joy McBride, a happy 39 year old birthday,
as we remember she was born on this date, May 27, 1975. We will remember how
Tracie live and not remember how she died. We encourage people to donate money
to the Tracie
Joy McBride Scholarship Fund.
We
dedicate this song to her and her family, as she was a soldier.

"The
Mansions of the Lord" was written by Nick Glennie-Smith, with words by
Randall Wallace, for the 2002 film We
Were Soldiers, starring Mel Gibson. The movie version was by the
United States Military Academy Glee Club and Metro Voices and is on the
original soundrack.
Below
are Randall Wallace's lyrics.
The Mansions of the Lord
To fallen soldiers let us sing
Where no rockets fly nor bullets wing
Our broken brothers let us bring
To the Mansions of the Lord
No more bleeding, no more fight
No prayers pleading through the night
Just divine embrace, eternal light
In the Mansions of the Lord.
Where no mothers cry and no children weep
We will stand and guard though the angels sleep
Through the ages safely keep
The Mansions of the Lord.
