Mother Of Murder Victim
Wants Justice
June 11,
2013, 6:00 PM by Don Jorgensen
The
mother of a murder victim is speaking out about the man who is accused of
shooting and killing her daughter.
It's
been three months since 26-year-old Crystal Schulz was shot and killed. Her
body was found days later in a shed on her mother's farm near Chamberlain.
Her
boyfriend, 36-year-old Kent Davidson, is charged with first degree
murder. Prosecutors have said they won't seek the death penalty against
Davidson, but that's not sitting well Schulz's mother. But, life behind bars is
not good enough for Davidson, at least in the eyes of Schulz's mother.
"I am for the death penalty, an eye for an eye," Aggie Schulz Clement
said.
Schulz
Clement says Davidson deserves to suffer.
"I feel he should taken out to the pasture and shot exactly the
way my daughter was," Schulz Clement said.
Schulz
Clement found her daughter's body in a shed on her farm a few days after she
was reported missing. She had been shot in the head with a shotgun.
That's
when a man hunt pursued for Davidson, Crystal's boyfriend. After alerting the
public, Davidson was spotted at an apartment in central Sioux Falls. SWAT team
negotiators talked him out of the apartment two hours later.
Mom
says she had so many plans for Crystal and her this summer, camping, fishing
and just spending time together, but now she'll never get to build on those
dreams.
"The one thing with Crystal no matter what she always smiled,
always smiling,"
Schulz Clement said. "She was an astonishing
person and she's missed by a lot of people, not only by me."
As
for Davidson, he's been charged in the killing, but has pleaded not guilty.
Schulz Clement is now worried, no one will be held accountable for her
daughter's murder.
"It was a heinous crime in my eyes," Schulz Clement said.
"I just want justice for Crystal, I mean I have
this sick feeling in my stomach it's not going to happen, I just have this sick
feeling in my stomach."
Schulz
Clement is going to circulate a petition asking the state of South Dakota to
reconsider the death penalty in this case. Prosecutors have said the
states reserves the right to revisit the death penalty issue "in the event
of an unforeseen significant change in circumstances."

Although, we do not know what the
sentence would be for the killer, we encourage the loved ones of Crystal Schulz
to think of how she lived and not how she died. Friends of Crystal should
encourage her family members and support them all the way, as Cicero said:
