FALLEN SOLDIER: SPEC AMANDA JEAN SNELL (JANUARY 19, 1989 TO JULY 13, 2009)

            We, the comrades of Unit 1012, will honor and remember Amanda Jean Snell, a Navy Intelligence Specialist 2nd Class, every year on January 19 and July 13. We offer our utmost condolences to her family members left behind. Her killer, Jorge Torrez was sentenced to death on April 24, 2014.

            We present her this quote from Ode of Remembrance, where we use it to remember fallen soldiers:

“They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning,

We will remember them.”
