the arguments of death penalty opponents in the Omaha World Herald.
In Nebraska, capital punishment is used sparingly
and only for the most heinous of murders. Other states carry out the death penalty
and with protocol changes Nebraska will too. The financial cost of the death
penalty is a fraction of what opponents have claimed. And, a life sentence for
the most depraved of murderers risks the safety and lives of other prisons,
corrections officers and society at large. In this election, vote REPEAL to
restore the death penalty in Nebraska.
