they await their executions.

My sister Carmen...
Is someone who was always there.
My sister Carmen...
Is someone who always cared.
My Sister Carmen...
Could make me smile when times were blue.
My sister Carmen...
Is someone who was always true.
My sister Carmen...
By choice, was always my friend.
My sister Carmen...
Will be in my heart to the very end.
My sister Carmen...
Is an angel with God above.
My sister Carmen...
Is my sister that I miss dearly and always will love.
You never said I'm leaving
You never said goodbye
You were gone before we knew it
And only God knew why
A million times we've needed you
A million timed we've cried
If love alone could save you
You never would have died
In life we loved you dearly
In death we love you still
In our hearts you hold a place
No one could ever fill
It broke our hearts to loose you
But you did not go alone
Part of us went with you
The day God took you home
You left us beautiful memories
Your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you,
You're always by our side.
Our family chain is broken
And nothing seems the same,
but as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.

We didn't get to say goodbye,
We're devastated that you're gone.
We would have done anything to keep you here,
Right where you belong.
We didn't know that life would take,
Such a horriffic path.
That you'd be taken from us so soon,
Heartbreaking reality we struggle to grasp.
And bitter, losing you has been,
So profound is the pain that we bear.
We're sadder still at no chance for goodbye,
Not able to tell you how much we love you and care.
Yet believing that you're not far away,
That your Spirit lingers quite near.
We say how we miss you in our words and our thoughts,
Trusting and hoping that each one you'll hear.
Know that you were loved in the truest of ways,
So deep that only our hearts can give expression.
You'll be forever surrounded by our love,
For we're sending it straight up to Heaven.
Please know that you'll be cherished,
your memory we'll always treasure.
We know now how your life was a gift,
That was meant to bless us forever. |
