12-YEAR-OLD COURTNEY LEBLANC (JUNE 5, 1990 TO NOVEMBER 15, 2002)

            We, the comrades of Unit 1012, will honor and remember 12 year old Courtney Leblanc every year on June 5 and November 15. We, the comrades of Unit 1012: The VFFDP, will make her one of The 82 murdered children of Unit 1012, where we will not forget her. Let us remember how she lived and not how she died.

            Her stepfather, Gerald Bordelon, who was convicted of her November 15, 2002 murder, was executed by lethal injection in Louisiana on January 7, 2010.

Courtney Leblanc was a student at accelerated Christian education. She was a resident of Denham Springs. She was only 12 when she passed away she was a victim of homicide.Visting for Courtney was at the Word of Life Church in Donaldsonville. Her funeral services took place at 10 am. Interment in Acension Cemetery. She is survived by her mother,Jennifer Kocke;maternal grandparents,Mark and Virginia Kocke;paternal grandparents.Ronnie and Judy Leblanc;three sisters Brittnay Nicole and Megan Elizabeth Boudreaux and Alliana Rene Applegate. Preceded in death by her great-grandparents,Robert and Teta Peltier Kocke, Margie Green and Bufford Landry.
