INTRODUCING UNIT 1012: THE VICTIMS’ FAMILIES FOR THE DEATH PENALTY (2ND ANNIVERSARY) [FOUNDED ON OCTOBER 12, 2012]

As it is the Second Anniversary of Unit 1012: The Victims’ Families For the Death Penalty (founded on October 12, 2012), we will introduce ourselves as questions are being asked.

QUESTION: When did you found the group?
UNIT 1012: We founded on October 12, 2012, to mark the tenth anniversary of the 2002 Bali Bombings. 202 people died during that terrorist attack.

QUESTION: Who are the people in your group?
UNIT 1012: Our Group consists of different people from different countries around the world who are supporters of capital punishment and victims’ rights. We work as a team and call ourselves comrades as we are like soldiers, who cooperate with each other. Some of us are victims’ family members, some are friends of the victims and some of us are former opponents of the death penalty but became supporters.

QUESTION: What does your group do?
UNIT 1012: The aim of our Comrades is to unite all the Death Penalty Supporters and those VFFDP to grow in numbers where we can be united as a team. We speak out against evildoers and show support for the grieving victims’ family members.

QUESTION: What other activities does your group do?
UNIT 1012: We are not just defending the use of capital punishment. We are more than that. Just like a Swiss Army Knife is a multi tool where it has several functions (not just a knife for cutting), our group has several activities, apart from speaking defense of the death penalty.

They are:
1. We remember the murdered victim on the date he/she died or was born. We will research on how the victim live on this earth and do the very best not to focus on how they died. We shall always show our empathy and sympathy for those grieving victims’ families. For example, every year on September 25, we celebrate the National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims. On the 2014 event, we remembered more than 55 murdered victims.

2. We speak of historical events to remind people to learn from the past. For example, we remember the victims and heroes of the Holocaust and other mass murders on the date the event occurred.

Do not forget the victims of the Holocaust during World War II:

3. We, the Comrades of Unit 1012: The VFFDP, do understand that not every murderers get sentence to death. However, we do support other Victims’ Rights law; Marsy’s Law is one of them. This is a good law for those victims’ families whose loved ones’ killers were only sentenced to imprisonment.

4. We fight hard to keep killer behind bars by blocking their parole. We ally ourselves with this Victims’ Rights Organization, Block Parole.

5. Apart, from remembering the murdered victims and their families, we remember heroes like war heroes, the Righteous among the Nations, The German Resistance against Nazism and Christian Martyrs. We want to remember the good people to both honor and learn from them.

6. We also support a Just War Theory. That is why we support Anti-Terrorism Groups like All-India Anti-Terrorist Front, where they are our allies.

7. We have another blog call Abwehr 1109. It is our sister blog, where we have profiles of criminals, where we remind people how evildoers are among us. Unit 1012 focuses more on the victims and their families.

8. We will take a Christian approach to support our group and the victims by praying and speaking out against evil.

QUESTION: Who are the people who inspired your group?
UNIT 1012: The people who inspired our group are those government officials who received the Rayner Goddard Acts of Courage Award and many others too. As the late President Ronald Reagan said:

QUESTION: Was there any success your organization had achieved?
UNIT 1012: There were some. We prayed hard and campaigned hard to defeat Proposition 34 on November 6, 2012. We also got many signatures to keep killers behind bars in Block Parole.

QUESTION: Last of all, please name us some murder victims you remember that your organization focuses on.
UNIT 1012: We remember the victims of MH17, Polly Klaas, Police Officer Larry Elwood Lasater, Jr., Saskia Burke, Bipsy Amiran, Michael Lyons and the Knoxville Couple, Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom. They are not the only ones but as many victims, regardless of race and nationality.

Here is one of our favorite quotes by Holocaust Survivor, Elie Wiesel that motivates our Organization:
