HONORING SERGEANT ROGER LAMAR MOTLEY (END OF WATCH: OCTOBER 4, 1993)

Twenty years ago on this date, October 4, 1993, Sergeant Roger Lamar Motley was killed in the line of duty in Arizona. George Everette Sibley Jr.  was executed by lethal injection in Alabama for the murder. His partner-in-crime, Lynda Lyon Block was executed by the electric chair in that State on 10 May 2002. It was Double Justice for the Fallen Cop’s families! 




QUOTE: For Kirkwood, the execution marked the end of a 12-year ordeal. "I am ready to just close this chapter of my life and go on. I believe justice was served," she said. The victim's mother, Anne Motley, said, "Thank the good Lord I had a son like mine and not like George Sibley."

AUTHOR: Anne Motley is the mother of Officer Roger Lamar Motley who was murdered by George Everette Sibley Jr. and Lynda Lyon Block on 4 October 1993. Everette Sibley Jr. was executed by lethal injection in Alabama on 4 August 2005. Lynda Lyon Block was executed by the electric chair in Alabama on 10 May 2002.
